A Field Study of the Microbiological Quality of Fresh Produce

Responsibilities include educational outreach on commercial vegetable production in South Texas for producers, support people and extension agents.

Areas of interest include coordination of the state-wide watermelon variety trials, integrated pest management strategies in vegetables and food safety education and research. Food safety field studies conducted have included the microbiological quality of fresh produce from both domestic and imported origin.
